Okay, let me say it one more time. When you surround yourself with good people, you surround yourself with good stories.

I was excited when the club President Roz told us she and her daughter were working on a Podcast. They would “talk all things about adoption and reunion, but with a twist.”

Roz and Taya, the mother and daughter duo in my Toastmasters club. One is my best friend, the mentor of my Toastmasters journey. The other is a fellow member who attends our virtual meeting from Texas. Our exchanges mostly stay in the club meetings. Call it a quirk but how could I miss the chance to peer into my friends’ life behind the Zoom screen?

Now they’ve completed Season One of their Podcast: I Found Her. And I can’t wait to hear the next season. Different from the mainstream Podcasts that mostly come with individual stories, “I Found Her” is one single story, two characters, five decades of time span, and multiple layers of separate yet intertwined lives.

While they unveiled new layers of their lives with each episode, I thoroughly enjoyed adding new layers to my friends I know dearly — a unique listener’s bonus. However, as the story continued to unfold, it was no longer the bonus…
