When the Day Comes
In the waning light of a life once bright,
In the tender embrace of a fading night,
We stand as one, yet weak we see,
Before Mother Nature’s decree.
When the day comes, our hearts do weep,
For love’s sweet promise, now slow and deep,
Her passing nears, a shadow’s dance,
And time’s relentless, solemn trance.
Through fights and strife, we’ve journeyed long,
In depths of darkness, we once did throng,
But as the end draws close and clear,
Only beauty’s glow does now appear.
A marvelous design, in human heart,
To shed the grudges, to mend the part,
When loved ones suffer, and pain is rife,
We find forgiveness, free from strife.
Her mind a labyrinth, unfamiliar terrain,
Yet we hold on tight, amidst the pain,
For though she speaks in unknown tongues,
It’s love we hear, where forgiveness belongs.
